Operator's Side of the Meter
HECSY was created from firsthand experience operating energy intensive facilities and dealing with the same challenges our clients face today, rising utility costs, peak demand, reliability, backup generation, renewable energy, and disconnected control systems.
That experience exposed a clear problem. Facilities had meters,controls, equipment, utility data, and building systems, but no singleplatform connecting the information to real operating decisions.
HECSYsmart® was developed to close that gap.
By combining metering, monitoring, automation, control, and engineering, HECSY helps facilities understand how power is being used, how equipment is performing, and what actions can be taken to reduce cost, improve reliability, and operate more intelligently.

Ari Seaman — Co-Founder
Ari Seaman brings more than 20 years of experience in sustainable energy, real-estate development, construction, energy-efficient lighting and controls, and commercial and agricultural facilities. His work with energy-intensive properties helped identify the need for more accurate facility data and a coordinated approach to metering, controls and distributed energy.
At HECSY, Ari focuses on customer strategy, project development, partnerships and translating complex energy opportunities into practical business decisions.
Eric D. Senders — Co-Founder
Eric D. Senders brings more than 30 years of entrepreneurial and technology experience, including patented innovations serving manufacturing and agriculture. His background in developing and commercializing practical technology contributes to HECSY’s focus on field-tested systems and scalable energy-control solutions.
At HECSY, Eric supports technology development, operations, partnerships and the continued growth of the HECSYsmart® platform.
